We support and empower women, children and young people to reclaim and maintain their fundamental human right to safety and freedom.
With four specialist domestic violence services in regional South Australia, Centacare is the state’s largest provider of best-practice support for at-risk women and children outside metropolitan Adelaide.
Our services include supported accommodation, safety planning, case management, and other crisis support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to domestic and family violence.
We also offer outreach support, in keeping with our belief that the ideal place for a woman and her children is in their home.
Staff respect the choices that clients make and offer additional support through confidential and professional counselling, information and referrals for options in housing, medical, legal, income, advocacy and connection to community.
In addition, we provide supported accommodation and outreach services for young pregnant or parenting women who are living homeless or are at risk of homelessness.
