Centacare provides numerous programs including high quality care, accommodation and support for adults with intellectual disability, as well as respite and recreation services for all ages.

We have a number of options available in the Whyalla area:

  • Tamana House. A supported accommodation service providing daily living support to four adult females and one adult male all with an intellectual disability.
  • Karinya Cottage. A supported accommodation service with two adult males and one adult female with intellectual and physical disabilities.
  • Independent Living Program (ILP). The ILP assists people with an intellectual disability to live
    in their own home, providing support in all aspects of their daily lives. ILP focusses on skill development maximising independence with individualised quality care.
  • Elanora House. A supported accommodation service with four young males with intellectual disabilities.

Where: These services are located in Whyalla.

How: Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (formerly Disability SA) refers clients to Centacare based on available vacancies and identified needs.
