Centacare provides numerous programs including high quality care, accommodation and support for adults with intellectual disability, as well as respite and recreation services for all ages.

Our safe and enjoyable weekend and school holiday respite services for young people provide access to a wide variety of community activities. We also offer activity-based daytime programs [link to Disability Services: Day Options] based on individual needs, interests and lifestyle choices.  Through our Disability Services, people are supported and encouraged to participate in centre and community based activities by trained and caring staff.

24/7 high-quality care

  • Lumiere, Lara Cottage, Barker House, Sanctus House and Xavier House – purpose built homes provide high quality 24/7 care and support for individuals with an intellectual disability and high support needs.

Respite care

  • Kolbe Cottage: providing weekend and school holiday respite for children and adolescents between five and 18 years of age with an intellectual disability. The service aims to provide safe and enjoyable stays for individuals in a holiday-like atmosphere by providing access to a variety of community and centre based activities.
  • Northern Respite Services – designed for adolescents and adults with an Intellectual Disability. The service provides a variety of programs and recreational activities over the weekend.

Day Options

  • Centanet and Auricht House provide center based and community activities focused upon both recreational activities and skill development for clients with an intellectual disability who have left school.
