What we do

The Dad’s Business program aims to enhance dads/fathers health and wellbeing and to assist all dads/fathers of children aged 0-12 including expectant and new dads/fathers to develop positive infant/parent relationships and connectedness to other community support systems.

Any dads/fathers requiring support can first meet with the Dads Business Social Worker (bookings essential) to discuss their expectations, hopes or anxieties and continue on to build their knowledge of child attachment in a variety of non-formal but informative programs including:

  • Seahorse – A six week course run once per school term designed to provide expecting or new dads/fathers (0-12 months) with skills to navigate the early stages of family life (Bookings essential, numbers limited).
  • Dads Plus – A six week course run once per school term designed to provide all dads/fathers with children aged 0-12 years with the skills required to provide solid foundations and optimal growth for children and the entire family unit (Bookings essential, numbers limited).
  • Wellbeing Wednesdays – Weekly group run for 8 weeks during school terms for dads/fathers to meet other dads/fathers in a relaxed non-judgmental environment and discuss anything relating to family wellbeing. (Bookings are essential and numbers/spaces are limited).

*Covid restrictions may apply, please contact Dads Business for current updates and status.
