How we can support you
Respite
Centacare provides weekend and school holiday respite services for children and adults living with a disability at Kolbe Cottage (for children between 5- 18 years) and Auricht House (13- 40 years).
The respite programs provide individuals with a fun, safe and enjoyable environment that fosters individual growth and development.
Our respite houses provide clients with a homely atmosphere where they will receive support which meets their dietary and personal care needs during their stay.
Day Options
Centacare has two metropolitan locations offering Monday to Friday Day Options services.
Centanet is based at Kolbe Cottage, Plympton, and Auricht Day Options at Auricht House, Elizabeth North.
Day options provide individuals who are living with a disability supported group-based activities in a safe and enjoyable environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
Our Day Option services are outcome-focussed and are linked to life goals and plans.
Accommodation Services
Centacare currently has nine accommodation services located in Adelaide and Whyalla, providing individuals with 24-hour support, seven-days-a-week.
Our passionate staff work alongside clients to assist in the development of independent living skills to enable them to play an active role in the maintenance and operations of their own home.
We maintain positive and collaborative relationships with families, and encourage their ongoing involvement wherever possible.
Independent Living Program
Centacare’s Independent Living Program operates over seven days with flexible hours.
The program enables individuals with an intellectual disability to receive in-home support while living in their own choice of accommodation.
People receive individualised flexible quality care and support to manage their daily tasks and help them live life as a valued and contributing member of their community.
Clients receive support with budgeting, shopping, medical appointments, household tasks, meal preparation and personal care.
There is a strong focus on developing skills for increased independence.
