The Centacare Drug and Alcohol Service aims to ‘Assist’ families to reach their full potential when confronted by alcohol and other drug problems. The service is targeted at families in the Adelaide Metropolitan area who have a young person who has a substance use problem.
The registered nurse is responsible for supporting young people and their families through a home detoxification in partnership with a GP. The registered nurse is responsible for provision of health promotion, education, health appraisals, counselling, referral and consultancy to address young people who are misusing substances.
