Centacare’s city and metropolitan sites are doubling as film sets this week, with filming underway on a 30-minute feature to showcase our services and supports.

The film is being directed and produced by David and Belinda Mackey, of bespoke Adelaide-based production house, Mackbel Films.

The project will encapsulate our core mission and values, the professionalism of staff, and the many ways Centacare is meeting the challenges of those we support.

This week the crew has visited our Adelaide office, Wandana Community Centre at Gilles Plains, and Kolbe Cottage at Plympton.

Today filming continues at headspace Port Adelaide and at the Integrated Youth Substance Misuse Service, based at Stepney.

Next week, the spotlight will fall on Outer North Youth Homelessness Services , Elizabeth, and our specialist domestic violence service at Murray Bridge.

Filming will wrap in the city on Wednesday.

We can’t wait to share the finished product.
