Education is often the key for young parents to get back on track and completing their SACE qualifications is important … but they need support to balance study and their new family responsibilities.

Our Learning Centas provide young women with wellbeing support and learning opportunities, tailored to their needs and relevant to their important role as young parents.  They allow young people to take advantage of two key qualifications: the SACE and Certificates 1 and 2 in Education and Skills Development.  These qualifications help them to confidently take up opportunities in employment, further education or other training programs.

The Centas are based around small group learning and home-based learning support (where needed).  Support is available for young people with literacy or numeracy concerns and help is available regarding other study pathways.  Importantly, this study is balanced with practical support around transport, child care and education about parenting.
