Our Mental Health Rehabilitation Services include two programs:

Individual Psychosocial Recovery Support Service (IPRSS)

The IPRSS Program provides individual support for people with enduring mental illness to enable them to live independently in the community. This support is tailored to suit the consumer’s needs and goals and may include areas such as:

  • Developing daily living skills in relation to home maintenance, cooking, shopping, budgeting, etc.
  • Support with maintaining mental wellness such as collecting medication or attending psychiatric appointments
  • Support in accessing education, vocational training, or employment
  • Developing confidence and skills in using public transport
  • Support with accessing suitable housing
  • Support in developing a healthier lifestyle such as eating healthily and exercising

The IPRSS program operates in the inner south region and referrals must be from either Carramar or Marion Mental Health Teams.

Accommodation Support Program (ASP)

The primary focus of ASP is to assist people to obtain and retain housing. This support includes assistance in maintaining a level of wellness that would ensure housing tenancy isn’t threatened, such as:

  • Developing daily living skills in relation to home maintenance, cooking, shopping, budgeting, etc.
  • Support with maintaining mental wellness such as collecting medication or attending psychiatric appointments
  • Support in accessing education, vocational training, or employment

ASP operates in the northern region and referrals must be from either Inner North County Mental Health or Outer North Country Mental Health.
