The Community Mental Health – Drought Assistance program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. It is an early intervention, outreach program, which delivers community based mental health services to individuals and their families.
The service includes: raising awareness in drought affected communities around mental illness; promoting community resilience through social networking; supporting existing and developing new community events; linking with and referring to other services.
Who: Individuals, families, and communities affected by drought.
